Counselling Centre

At times we all face problems that seem to overwhelm us or just make us feel stuck in a situation; other times we are faced with changes that may be difficult to adjust to, or we may experience traumatic events that prevent us from being able to function within our daily  routines.  During those times we may need a little help from a professional, someone who is willing to listen, provide support, and guide us in terms of finding ways to cope and identifying solutions to effectively deal with our problems.
KESY is such an environment, where individuals can feel safety and caring, and in which they can access confidential psychological services.  One of the goals of the Center for Therapy, Training and Research (KESY) is to serve as a practicum site for the college?s MA level Clinical Psychology students, in which psychology trainees are trained in providing psychotherapy services under the careful and constant supervision of trained and qualified professionals.  Our center is committed to providing these services in a professional, non-biased and discrete manner and we are pleased to offer students, faculty and staff of Intercollege the opportunity to receive these services for a low, nominal fee.
KESY is not staffed to treat serious or chronic psychiatric disorders. Individuals requiring or requesting such treatment will be referred to other appropriate settings.

Provision of Psychotherapy Services
Counselling and psychotherapy services at our centre will be provided by Patricia Phaedonos, the coordinator of the Counselling Centre as well as Master?s Level interns who will be under the constant supervision of qualified psychologists/faculty of the University of Nicosia/Intercollege.
The director of the Centre is an experienced psychotherapist who will be available daily to address any questions or concerns that you may have.

Confidentiality
Visits to KESY are strictly confidential and communication between the therapist and the client is privileged and safeguarded.

Location / Hours of Operation
